About Jen Caruso

I've always believed that the most memorable love stories are about more than romance. They're about the people we become, the choices we make, and the courage it takes to open our hearts.

My love of  language, history, and storytelling has shaped much of my life. With degrees in Spanish and Communication and Theater, I spent more than fifteen years teaching Spanish while continuing to pursue my passion for writing. Apparently, one language wasn't enough, and neither was one way of telling a story!

Whether I'm exploring the world of sixteenth-century Roanoke in A Heart Unbound or following Santiago and Marie through the heartbreak and hope of  To Catch the Wind, I'm drawn to characters whose lives are changed by love, loss, resilience, and second chances. I have a particular fondness for complicated characters who insist on making their lives more difficult than necessary. Fortunately, they usually figure things out. Eventually.

As an independent author, bringing these stories to life has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I'm especially grateful to my children and family for their encouragement and support, including my daughter, who has helped with my cover art.

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the literary world. I hope you'll find characters here who stay with you long after you've turned the final page.
